SOLVENTS AND PAD PRINTING ADDITIVES
To ensure that a print run goes smoothly, the ink must be
appropriately tuned. This can be done with a variety of solvents
depending upon the ambient conditions. The standard solvent for
most pad printing applications is Thinner A. A range of five other
thinner blends is available, these having flash off times ranging
from 0.25 to 25 times that of thinner A. these solvent blends are
designed to be suitable for almost all of the Coates pad printing
inks available.

As well as solvents Handel provides a useful range of
printing problem solutions such as anti-static agents, thickening
powders, and flow agents. Added in small quantities these can help
overcome those hidden printing devils. For more information
